Any thoughts on a route? I think our best options are the hills up in the area we went last week, or the Oberland area between Zurisee and Greifensee. Alternatively, we could do some aerobic training with a longer, flatter ride.

I am for hitting the hills.....happy to do Zuri Oberland (means I can sleep longer) but also willing to go to Oerlikon if that is preferred,

HILLS - Yeah!
I would join you, but I have agreed to do some kind of uphill-oriented adventure with Kate tomorrow... Not sure what it will be, but can always expect it will be epic

Re: Saturday Morning Road Bike Ride
How about we meet at Tiefenbrunnen train station, in front of the station at 10:30? We will head up to Zuri Oberland and do a couple 200 meterish climbs.

Thanks a thousand times, that was a very nice ride.
I loved the hills, the weather, the company, and the free beer at the end
Cheers,
Sylvain
PS: next time, I will try to have a racing bike
Sylvain - you definitely don't need a racing bike. in fact, I think we may need put in a place a rule that you aren't allowed a racing bike.
Thanks everyone for coming out it was a great ride, even the suffering I did up hills.....and topped off by the free beer at the end - thanks Haldengut (sorry you missed that part Patrick, hope you had a good ride home). Yes there really is such a thing as free beer.....

No way, I missed a ride with hills AND free beer???

yes, you missed out, reminds me of some of Mr. Hillseeker's ideas on how Thursday nite rides could be even better, but the random chance of passing a brewery being pulled by Clydesdales while on the way home was hard to believe. Sounds like a beer commercial for cycling addicts.
