City/Town: Zurich
Event Type: Other
Meeting Point: Brett's house

Hey hey,

This year I'm staying in Switzerland for Christmas, and I figured that I'm most likely not the only one. Many will be with family at this time, but not all.

The originally proposed venue is closed, and therefore Brett has kindly suggested that we can use his apartment for a "bring your own" event. Details to be ironed out but probably starting closer to 4pm

For Boxing Day, I also propose that we head down to the Ziegel Oh Lac near Rote Fabrik and take advantage of the excellent cuisine and ambience on offer.

Merry christmas!

Terry

p.s. apologies if this wipes the RSVP's....

  • Uncle Max - Sounds great. Don't have to wear a silly hat, do we?
  • sabs - well I have a family thing but if I can sneak out I might join in.
  • Dottee - sounds like a great idea, but not entirely sure yet...

Feel free, the more the merrier!

For anyone wondering roughly where my place is, it is very near Sihl City, close to the Saalsporthalle tram stop...PM for actual details if you fancy coming.

Re: Alternative Christmas celebration

Brett just sent you a quick PM, I could bring a bottle(s) of something like Zubrowka or Advokat (but home made) if anyone is interested, and maybe kahluah for some christmass cofees. Of course something eatible as well. maybe makaroons or salad, since I never learned how to make those gingerbread cookie people or the gum drop buttons.

Hey Rob, you would of course be most welcome!

Anything alcohol and food wise you can bring would be appreciated, hope to see you on the 25th around midday (same for everyone!)

Re: Alternative Christmas celebration

Brett - you won't have seen your work email today - i'm bringing a big cake.

And I can do a quick trip to the Coop tomorrow afternoon if there's anything we need last minute.

Re: Alternative Christmas celebration

They are only mini-ones..and I did not get that many - I was a bit late with my shopping and all the shelves were almost empty complete madness! And I have to get them through customs yet

Re: Alternative Christmas celebration

I picked up 12 handmade pies from Mike earlier, and he kindly donated some crisps for the buffet - superb
