The last Lausanne TNDC of the year will take place Thursday December 18th at Taco's in Lausanne. Let's send the year out on a festive note and make this a great evening!

For anyone interested in a bit of after-work or pre-TNDC fun, why not join us at the Christmas Market in Place St. Francois for some free live jazz music courtsy of the Indiana Jazz band. There will be vin chaud for sale at some of the market stalls (that's mulled wine for the non-French-speaking folk), light nibbles such as crepes for those who are a bit more hungry, and best of all, you get to spend a winter evening with the lovely EF regulars from Lausanne (and robban).

I'll be there at 6:00 sharp near the music in my bright green jacket and Father Christmas hat, so if you've never been to a social before and aren't sure how to find us, just look for me (although just listen for me works too). The market is located next to St. Francois church, just up the hill from the train station. (see map)

After the music is finished and the wine is in our bellies, we'll head over to Taco's for 8:00 to continue the fun.

All this snow is going to make it seem extra Christmassy at the market tomorrow. I think I can already smell the vin chaud!

Okay. The Father Christmas hat has been procured, and it has flashing star-shaped lights on it. For those who PM'd asking how to locate us tonight there's no way you could miss me. (I think most self-respecting Lausannois wouldn't be caught dead in public with a flashing Santa hat.)

I hear the vin chaud with an extra slug of Amaretto is particularly good! Hopefully I can make it back down from Avenches in time...
