Re: Photography club 1st meeting

Karl great idea, I really want a dSLR but at the moment the cost is putting me off and also the fact I have no idea how to use it and am impatient with manuals, I went on a dSLR beginners course last year but came away not really knowing enough - I think a hands on approach with people who know their stuff is a better than sitting and listening in a class - so think this is a great idea - if I am lucky enough to own one in the near future then i'll pop along

I'm more or less in the same boat. Keep outting off buying a decent camera because of the price and the convieniece of having little camera that fits it my pocket. If I don't have to work I may tag along anyway.

Re: Photography club 1st meeting

Hi Karlnmik!

Thanks for setting this up. I'm really interested in attending, but will the discussions apply to me if I use a prosumer cam?

I have an aged Nikon Coolpix 8400 with manual settings (which I love, but don't think I'm maximizing). If I need to bring a DSLR I can borrow the hubby's D80, but I can handle my 8400 much better because of the weight...is it ok?

Re: Photography club 1st meeting

I will be interested in a group nearer to home - was there much interest around the Lausanne area?

Hi Bring whatever camera suits you best. Its about photography not about what equipment you use. Bring your camera and better still bring both of them ..
