EF Poker Tournament

So off the back of previous attempts and demands I would like to see if we can set up a EF poker night at Potbellys in Adliswil www.potbellys.ch

Just to be clear from the start, this is not an event where I am making money, simply a social event for the EF people to enjoy.

So it would work as follows:

At Potbellys we can reserve 3 professional tables with professional chips and cards, there will be a floorman and a dealer for the final table. This means a maximum of 30 people.

I will set up a poll for the date, please let me know which would suit you best and also leave remarks on the money you would be willing to pay.

I would suggest one of the following:

CHF30 + 10

or

CHF50 + 10

The + 10 covers the hire for the table, equipment and final table dealer but we need to have 30 people to make this happen otherwise that amount increases.

Let me know what you think?

If we reach a good number of people, we can look to set it up.

I don't think we will get 30 runners and more than 30% rake would be ridiculous so higher than 30+10 just makes no sense.

Chf50+10 works for me. Would have been nice to see a chf100+10 option too which is still within the realms of a friendly game.

Re: EF Poker Tournament

Well the reason I said CHF30 is because maybe some people wont want to spend that much. The rake is what it is because of what the cost of renting the tables are.

I would more than happy to make it a CHF100 game but then we probably wont get 30 EFers.

Otherwise I might look to set up a game with friends not on EF for that.

As it looks not many people have voted and commented yet so ill give it a few days then look to arrange something instead. After this I wont try again to set something up for EF as more than 30 people said they would like to play but only 1 person has voted on the poll.

Re: EF Poker Tournament

I'm up for it but think I'm busy on each of those dates (ice hockey first weekend/UK one of the May ones - need to book), but will need to double check. I will be up for one of the May dates, will confirm after I've booked my flights

Re: EF Poker Tournament

Hi there,

just a suggestion, why don't you add the CHF100 + 10 to the pole, if we don't get enough people, we'll just have a Sit & Go.

Do you have a suggested blind structure? starting stack? payout structure?

Might be worth seeing if we can get some drinks for everyone for an additional fee of say CH10 each or that could be taken off the pot so everyone's a winner :-D

Cheers

FIT

Poker is good as long as it only stays as having fun and not addiction.
