My date has now changed to the 15th due to lack of interest.. and various other events.
K | Quote: | | | | | Hi Everyone,
Martin's pointed out a small problem with the weekend I suggested
There's the big fireworks display on the night of the 31st and Karl's photo exhibiton during the day on the first.
So, how does next weekend sound instead for the long exposure shoot please?

Hi everyone !
I just realized that there is a group of people who join to make pictures of different things in Basel and I wonder if i can join sometime with you.
I love to make pictures but i dont have a professional camera.. mine is just a simple digital camera. Is that ok? or could i just join to see what technichs do you use?..
Hopefully i see all of you in the next meeting!
Roxy

Hi Roxy.
Everyone is welcome, as long they can promise to be a good company
There are a lot of different people, with different cameras, the cameras are not the the biggest point, we even let people with Canon join us | | This user would like to thank Begga for this useful post:

I guess this answers my forthcoming question on whether to drive or take the train...

Bahnhof' and '(P) Messe' from the the motorway, and the car park entrance is actually on the slip road of the motorway.
Hope this helps |

Capture the spirit of Swiss National day
August 1st is swiss National day and the evening before (31st) and the day itself normally have lots of activities going on. For example, the fireworks over the Rhine.
Why not capture what you think are the best 5 photos that you take on those days which capture the spirit and feeling of the day. It can be people, events, fireworks...what ever you think.
But the pictures must have been taken either the 31st of July or 1st of August.
Post them to the Flickr group naturally comment on each others photos. Anyone can do it whatever camera you have...it is more about capturing the feeling.
Have fun
Martin
P:S Karl could I suggest this also for the Zurich group ?

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know anywhere that sells a good range of filters please?
I went looking for ND filters at the weekend, but Marlin and Fotohaus here in Basel only sold ND4s (2 stops) for my lenses (58mm).
I'd like get higher rated ND filters, maybe a 5 and a 10 stop.
Thanks in advance for any pointers,
Chris

Hi Chris,
after seeing what you were able to do with the ND 4 I went down to Marlin this afternoon and ordered an ND 8 which should be here in the next few days...it is also 58mm. They will order anything if they don't have it stock...they just ask for a small payment up front.
Have fun
Martin
