Ps, Cat has arranged an Afternoon Drinks on the same day, so should the evenings not be convenient for you, start a little earlier! I'm sure there'll be some for whom the attraction of a full day and night at the Talacker will prove irresistable...

They've extended serving food into the evenings - it's a popular place at lunchtime for salary people - with a limited but interesting menu list. Examples include asian style meatballs, satay, miso soup etc. but it's the Apèro Teller which always gets my attention: cheese, fruit, various cuts of meats, olives, bread etc. Nice to share

Blimey, Natasha and Stephanwolf already on the Maybe list; what could possibly go wrong..?

Looking through the forum today it seems there are many new members: welcome!

Should you like to get to know some faces to names, our regular Wednesday Midweek Drinks evenings would be a good opportunity. Almost everyone comes on their own - and all did so for the first time once!
It's a very informal atmosphere and everyone is welcome

i am here from Los Angeles staying in Aigle.i would love to meet up but i dont know exactly where this place is. I have meet a number of good people,but i have not yet been to Zurich and i heard many good things..how would i get thre from the train in Zurich and what time..thanks

Hi drdre25, welcome to EF! The drinks start around 19:00 and from the main station you can take tram 3 (Albisrieden direction) and 14 (Triemli) to Stauffacher. Then it's either a three minutes walk or take tram 2 and 9 for one stop according to the map that is linked on the top of this page.

Alternatively you can simply walk for 10 minutes: From the station down Bahnhofstrasse (the shopping street in front of you) and once to the right into Uraniastrasse (at the first crossing with a traffic light for pedestrians), then simply a bit longer straight ahead and you are there...

Aigle to Zurich for beer? Wow, you must have a thirst. It's quite a long way. Perhaps use the SBB site to give you connection times

Although someone came from Austria once... and stayed...
