you can get pretty cheap tripods from MediaMarkt or InterDiscount, I think I've seen some in there for under 50CHF.
The shop a lot of us seem to use for the harder to find camera bits is Marlin, at Bankverien. They're a really good specialist shop, so if you can't find it in the big chains they'll either have it or know where to get it for you!
Hope this helps, and see u Friday |

Hi,
any camera type is more than welcome The more the variety the better. I suppose they are just the two most popular makes.
The more the merrier.
Have fun

(I was mostly joking - reading these threads, sometimes you would think cannon/nikon were the only two manufacturers in the world )

Hey guys, you do realize that tonight will be simulair festival as last friday, only not jazz bands playing around, but rock/metal bands.
Might be a lot of people, and honesly it is tickeling me more to shoot the bands than the night...

Thanks for an interesting evening - I learned a fair bit....
Especially thanks to "Butters" for the tips and help he gave me and others. (to that extent, what was the filter you lent me - I'd like to read up why it helped so much)
Not sure I have any photos worth posting to your flickr group however - I'll see once I've done some cropping etc

Hi,
I am glad that it was a good evening. By the way Pat, Butters is Chris I would expect the filter he lent you was a Neutral Density filter.
By the way the idea of the Flickr group is not for a collection of "perfect" pictures but more a way of helping each other out and so giving each other constructive advice is always useful. I know that is what has helped me a lot to improve my photography.
So please everyone don't feel shy please post and if you were there last night and don't have access to the flickr group please PM: Butters, Begga or myself.
Have fun
Martin

Thanks everyone for coming, hope you all fancy coming back again in the future!
Martin's right Pat, the filter was an ND (Neutral Density) 4. I got it from Marlin on Bankverien for 58CHF.
And to echo Martin again, please do post stuff on Flickr, even if you're not 100% happy with it. Then we can all discuss and hopefully you'll get useful pointers to get ones you'll be happier with next time |

Have to echo with with Martin and Chris, please add your photos, we will be really nice promise!
Personally I feel it is a great part of learning to post it on Flickr, because getting comments from others, both negative and positive helps a lot of thinking and learning.
