Oh I wondered - I noticed that on a different post. Well hopefully I can edit the calendar info then if needed, without wiping out all the RSVPs!

Re: Cyclist end-of-(high) season Social

Wow, as I look back, it has been a life-changing year for me. Started the year with a 5 hour Zurichsee ride on a can't-even-call-it-a-tourer, and culminated with riding on the Swiss Alps (EF Roadie).

I think I was around 10 when I first read about TDF and Alpine riding, from a RD article back in India, never really dreamed of it seriously, twas more like going to Moon and forgot all about it in adulthood. Means so much to see old and hazy fantasies turning into reality, thansk to some internet forum

Can't say nff thanks to all the EF cycling promoters and motivators for making it happen And I can only pray more people just give it a try and benefit from this wonderful opportunity.

[turning a bit mushy now; must go get some tissues ]

We'll consider making it up to Zurich again for this one, but no promises yet - I'll have four hours of teaching to do the next day!

Re: Cyclist end-of-(high) season Social

Just a thought: how about making this a common do with the ZRG (Zurich Running Group)? Basically the spirit is the same, bipedal motion, and a lot of people belong to both groups anyway.

Thanks for giving it a thought

Sure, sounds great to me!

I won't be able to edit this calendar entry to indicate that the Runners are included, but feel free to pass the word along... and I will as well if I can actually make it to the Wednesday nite run this week!

Re: Cyclist end-of-(high) season Social

Just a reminder that the Social is this Thursday! Looking forward to seeing you all there to celebrate another incredible season

That applies to cycling and running - Hope you EF runners can join us too!

For those of you who have possibly been biking or running out there on your own -- You should consider stopping by this Thursday and saying hello. You might be surprised to see how many other people here are into the same things...

We have met some of our best friends here this way, and now there is almost always someone we can call up to meet for a run or a ride. And yes sometimes for a drink too!

See you Thursday

Haven't joined any of the rides (The only activity I prefer going solo; translate: out of shape compared to you speedies), but would love to drop and say hi. And drink beer.

Yeahhh!!!!

Looking forward to seeing you all tonite. Glad we have such a good-sized group again!

Sorry it doesn't work for many of you regulars to join us tonite - It is hard to find a day/time that works for all... So yes, we will just have to do it again sometime soon Christmas party sounds like a fun idea Heather!

Re: Cyclist end-of-(high) season Social

Since the weather is still so nice, I am hoping we can hang out in the back garden again like last time we met at Reithalle in April. So you might want to check out there first when you arrive to see if we're out there. The staff said we could move inside once it gets dark/cooler.

See you soon!
