Anyone for drinks in Zurich Saturday evening 30.06.06?
Ok, this is really aimed at people in Zurich but due to the lovely weather I wondered if anyone fancied meeting for dinner and/or drinks on Saturday 1st of July (ie tomorrow)? Maybe somewhere outside? If so why not respond to this thread with suggestions...

Will actually be in Zuri tomorrow night...but for a Guns N' Roses concert! Don't ask how I got roped in to that one, but to my own surprise I'm nearly excited about it!

I think I might plan to be spontaneous. Maybe someone like the all-seeing, all-knowing Nanda could jump in with some excellent tips on a venue.
ANd hey - If I'm there it would be a great chance for some of you to collect some of the big pile of business cards for the forum that are gathering dust in my cupboard...

Ok well, I'll be wearing a pink tshirt and will have an englishforum business card on the table, not that it will be immediatly obvious... Or better, I'll print out a flyer, that might be more eye catching!

Just in case, the Bauschänzli is by Bürkliplatz tramstop. You walk along the limmat away from the lake and you will see an island like structure, this is the bauschänzli. Also, the location of the Zurcher Oktoberfest.

Well we had a nice evening of drinks by the river. The strangest thing happened on the way home. I was running for the tram but I missed it. Someone came up to me and gave me 40 francs. The notes had fallen from my pocket.
I was quite amazed. Now at this point you are probably all patting Switzerland on the back and saying how honest the Swiss are. Now ask yourself this question - would all the Swiss have done that, or just a few? The fellow that gave me the money was a dark-skinned foreigner - you know the ones who are supposed to be committing all the crimes and taking up space in the jails.
The guy was busy on the phone so couldn't really accept my message of thanks - but whoever you are - thanks!
