| | | Zurich pub expedition to Basel
This is just the start of an idea, and I thought I'd just start a thread to chat about it.
Who'd be interested in jumping on a train to Basel, presumably on a Friday or Saturday for a night out in Basel? We could meet up with the Basel folks whilst over there. The theme would simply be drink, have fun on the train, and check out the bars/clubs of Basel. Depending on how it goes, people could either get the last train back or keep going all night for a morning return!
So, thoughts?

Yes, I'd be up for this.
Incidentally, I thought your Bristol City reference would now be about promotion to the Championship rather than next season's FA Cup.

I think it would be great if everyone agreed at the outset there is no way they are catching the last train home. Then let festivities commence...

I've know people that used to play this game. The whiff of the desparado makes for some quite fascinating no-holds-barred stunt pulling. That's Stunt Pulling not stunt-pulling...

Mad Max should close just before then.
For what it's worth, I've had decent post-boozing food in Basel. Everything helping against munchies is still open after midnight |

Either that or its "pressure pulling".... | | | | | Five to two. That magic time. Maybe that's why people find it so difficult to meet others here: there's no deadline. There is, of course, five past two, which is strictly for 'Playas' in the Kebab shop.

Some people might say its an endurance match with no clear final whistle. And as coyly observed in Macbeth, alcohol stimulates the desire but diminishes the performance.
No doubt some Phd student will be getting funding to study the effects of relaxation of drinking hours on UK Pulling practices.
