Good news.....
The DJ collapsed with exhaustion after the last gig, but is well on the mend now, sitting up in bed and should be able to make it.... |

Helencho - the key phrase you need to say to find us, is "who wants a beer?".

| | | Re: Mid-week Drinks at the Cana Bar Newbies, I realised it may be somewhat confusing with the sarcastic comments about how to fnd us (I am a big fan of the ol' sarcastic comment, but I concede it doesn't help you find us :>), here is some advice......
just walk in the door and look straight ahead - there are some standing tables (ie with bar stools) and we should be there, along the wall at those tables and as the night progresses, jammed in between the bar too. It's a small bar. Normally the place is a swiss regulars hang out, so if someone is speaking english, chances are they are with us !!
see you all weds (with or without braziliian footy t-shirts)

Mh, I'm tempted but hesitating because I'm not an expat and my conversational English would be below-average, to put it nicely... |

There are several people with other mother tongues than english (like me). I'll try to drop in, if I'm not dead tired from my first spanish course lesson.

Yeah I speak Australian anyway, so english is not my native tongue.
But seriously, unless you can not construct a sentence - I would come and give it a go, as there are plenty of non-natives |

Thanks as always to Ashley for organising - these evenings are getting a little bit too successful - you could barely move last night!
A special cheery good morning to those of you who were still going strong when we left the splendid (!) Splendid Bar at 2.30 this morning. . . |

Ashley
Thanks for arranging what I'm sure must have been a great evening. When my memory gets going again along with other parts of my brain, I'm sure I'll remember just how good an evening it was |

Cheers to all who turned up. It was good to see some returnees, and many newcomers.
I think the bar was a wee bit full !! But it adds to the atmosphere right !!
Next time we may have to move next door as the other bartender(ess) was getting a bit jealous
see you all next time.............
