| | | Stitch and b*tch: crafts circle [Zurich]
I'm just testing the waters to see if there is any interest in having a semi regular knitting/sewing/crocheting group in zurich where we would work on whatever project and hang out while snacking and drinking. I crochet and knit, and sometimes it's nice to do that with other people.

Yup. If you have no background in knitting or crocheting I'll happily teach as well. Traditionally when I've done this I had pizza and drinks if it was during the day. If it was more evening, wines/beers would come out. The b*tching part is not obligatory but it makes it a lot of fun.
As I said earlier you can work on whatever you want, bit group projects are also quite possible if people have grand ideas.

I kindle an interest (yeah, surprising isn't it?). Depending on who attends, maybe I could bring Mlle L-P? She can hold her own in b1tching, but if it gets too much we could wack some headphones on her head.

If people are interested, we could start thinking of dates and times. Would weekdays or weekends work better? In terms of places to host, I can have about 6 people max at my place unless you want to sit on the floor. If kore people are interested then we might have to find a different place. In terms of tools for the needle arts, there's a wool store 1 bus Stop away from my place.

Weekdays afternoons work best. I am happy to host at my place too if nobody minds a dog joining in.

You can't be serious. Do you mean you can't sew a button on? |

I could host on a Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon - as long as Richdog promises to come along so I can teach him to sew on a button...
I can easily fit 6-8 people, or more...I've got a sewing machine, overlocker and a snap-machine... |

I would join in if it was on a weekday evening or a weekend. I would also be happy to take my turn at hosting. I only have a small basic sewing machine so someone would maybe have to bring along something better for sewing.

Sounds like we have a good little group.
When should we attempt this? Next week? The week after?
