It's a great idea and I support initiative. Hopefully we can still organize one or two more events in March and April.

Hi all,
Just found out I have to add a trip to Paris for a couple of meetings and may not be back in time to "host" this event. As such, I may have to reschedule to the Sunday.
I will post on Friday and send a PM if I have to reschedule.
sorry to disappoint!

Ok folks, Sunday for sure! I'll check the forecast closer to the end of the week, but my head thinks something like Pizol that is fairly quick to get to. Any suggestions send me a PM and I will post a survey to decide.

Hi
Can Newbies come along? (I mean newbies to the WF not newbie skiers )
If so, any news on the final destination and meeting time?
Thanks

Hi all,
Thanks for the feedback, I think Pizol is the best place. I'll check the schedule, but I plan on getting there early so we will arrange a spot to meet on the hill for latecomers. Will advise prior to going to bed tonight!

Ok everyone,
I think Pizol is the best option unless there is strong opinion on a better place. While I love Andermatt, I think Pizol offers the better terrain for what we are looking for - - Lots of long red runs to keep us occupied.
I'll be taking the 7:12 train from HB (Platform 5) arrives in Pizol around 8:35. We will meet for 7:00 at the meeting point, look for Loyal Order of Water Buffalo hat (blue hat with gold horns) on the end of my skis.
For those latecomers (you know who you are!) We will arrange to meet at the top of the gondola from Wangs @ 10:30.
I'll P.M. everyone my mobile number as we get closer to the event.
happy skiing!

I too will be on the early train.... don't want a repeat of Hasliberg where it took ages to get up to the slopes due to the queues
Will you be carrying my skis again Trev??? |

And am all for Jacek picking up apres-ski
Come on maybe's, hop off the fence and bump us up into the double digits!

Mama G says there is a good chance, but due to living in the boonies, we'd drive... Which is her nice way of saying I'm a lazy bugger who would'nt get up at 05:30, and my track record with public transport here is..... checkered!
She also wants to know how does it compare to the likes of H-yB in term of steepness etc.... and I'd like to know if Mr J is taking his camera
EDIT: I've added another bod... but it's only a maybe as yet.

Today I've had a blasting day in Melschee-Frutt in fresh powder and not so badly groomed pistes. It was sooooo sunny that I look like a lobster on my face save for part marked sungglasses Pics on FB will follow...

Great to see Papa G and Mama G on board. Mama has my guarantee she will be right @ home at Pizol. And Jemma, after full reflection, now that you have achieved black run skier status, you are forever burdened with carrying your own equipment. Let's go folks, 1 more to get to 10 snow hounds. You know you want to!
