| How many uplifts does the helicopter do? If Monte Rosa is 4200m and the height difference is 2800m, that's a lot of uplifts to get 16000m of descending.
Is there skinning involved somewhere in the middle?
I've been offered heliskiing trips before and they were in the region of 135CHF for the guide plus the cost of the helicopter which was something like 600+CHF split between the group for one uplift. 380CHF seems very cheap if there is 4-5 uplifts involved which there would need to be to get 16,000m. EDIT: Ah... I realise now its 16km distance you cover, not the actual altitude descended. | |

yes, 16 km is the distance covered, and the altitude difference is 2600 meter. They have sent me a PDF File, which i can not attach unfortunately, but it does not mention skins, neither in requirements, nor what is provided by them, so I am quite certain, they are not needed.
Monte Rosa is actually 4634 meter, but they drop us off at ca. 4200 meter, where we will ski down to Zermatt via Furi, so that will be on the Gorner Gletscher, and thus should be downhill all the way.
I can email the pdf's i got if you pm your email address.
