Güeterschuppe Wädenswil is an indoor skating hall ( BMX and skating boards ) coveniently located a few metres away from SBB Wädenswil ( with 14 railway connections per hour ) as well as directly opposite the Jugendhaus Wädenswil.

It was formerly a railway goods shed and was recently converted to an indoor skating hall, attracting users from various towns from within ZH, SG, GR, AG & SZ Cantons on a regular basis.

On 27th March, they kick off a Lakeside Tour contest ending up with the finals on 8th May. Details in this website page ( or here for a crude Google English translation ). It costs a few Francs to enter the contest, adults are most welcome, details in the given link.

In Saturday's edition (10th July) of the 'Left Bank of Lake Zürich' local newspaper, there was an article about this place.

According to this text, in the European Congress of Youth Work in Ghent (Belgium), it is being used as a 'Best Practice' example of work between 'Politics' (the authorities), professional youth workers and young volunteers. It isn't mentioned by name anywhere - at least, I cannot find it - maybe the details were given too late to be added to the programme?
