Malaysian Get Together [moved from Introductions]

Hey everyone,

Maybe we could organise something with Ravi in Hot Wok (Regensdorf) to actually make malaysian food for malaysians? He does a good spread for Merdeka day when many m'sians go there, but otherwise, it's really not the real thing. But one year they even had proper satays.

There's also a Malaysia club in Zurich. I found out about it a few years ago and it required a three figure joining fee so I gave it a miss.

So welcome James. It'll take just a little time, but you'll get settled eventually.

Cheers,
Nanda.

If you're ever in Zurich James, head to Yooshi's near Bellevue. Most of the guys working there are Malaysians and it's a great way to practise Bahasa. Many of the asian places in Zurich are owned by M'sians and employ M'sians.

There are actually quite a good community of Malaysians in Geneva.

Re: New comer from Malaysia

Hi everyone, I am from KL. Been in Zurich for 1.5years now.

So has anyone actually started organizing the meet up already? It's about time...it would be great....

Let me start off by voting for venue. Should we meet in Zurich, Basel, Bern or?? If the weather is good...we can catch a picnic area or BBQ and do a pot luck thing. All suggestions are welcome.

Time : Saturday afternoon in the month of May (let's vote which Sat will that be)

Cheers,
Yen
