Litespeed - top work! I love that profile renderer from the Polar watch, and the mountain goat trail (aka DEAD END) is hilarious - no wonder we were buggered for the rest of the ride.

I know you are busy now again; but I am always up for another ride

I reckon that peak looks suspiciously like a trip up and down a chairlift...

Very perceptive Mark. There was a chairlift going at a slightly steeper gradient just beside us a few hundred metres away. I started walking when the back wheel started spinning on the wet road, rather than moving me forward

I am sure we can fit another one in. But this time we make sure the road exists! . Maybe the Klausen, its not too far away from ZH and Yokine knows the way for sure.

Its not, I swear on Lobs grave. Funny you mention chairlift though. At the Y where we took the wrong turn, a chairlift was leaving and someone was yelling something at us from the gondola. When we reached the top we realised what it was.

It was certainly one of the steepest sections of sealed road (dead-end though it was) I have ever ridden (avg. 15% according to the polar). So steep the boys on the triples were generating too much torque to keep traction on the narrow tyres and wet, slimy roadway.

As the "correct" road was not sealed, that proved no option either.

Re: Zurich - road cycling event, 12th August

Hi guys,

looks like a great trip. Just the altitudes I like. As weather didn't look very promising on Friday, I staided out long and slept even longer.... Maybe next time I can make it.

And here a story from live: I did a bike trip yesterday and planned to buy some food on the way. I chose a Kebab at Brugg, but at the counter I figures out, that I left my money at home :-( Somehow, I must have looked very hungry and the turkish lady gave me an excellent Kebab plus a "turkish Sprite" for free! Real hospiticallity!

Matt, if you are a sucker for punishment, the best gravel climb I have ever tried going from Jenins to Kamm (Maienfelder Alpen, between Bad Ragaz and Landquart). Regardless how good you are, you will spend at least the first 9km in MTB granny gear as it an 1100 metre altitude rise. I tried it twice, failed the second time. But the view from the top is worth it.
