The Viadukt markets in Zurich are opening next Saturday - 4th September.

From what I hear, the shopkeepers will be out to show everyone their wares ;-) and there should be plenty of entertainment and freebies. Also fun stuff for kids...and music....

I believe the cheese shop will have Port and Stilton 'served the proper way'....maybe GrumpyGrapefruit can confirm that for us ?

I've put a shopping tour on for the morning, in the forum social calendar, meeting at 10am, but the markets run all day and into the evening...

Yup, free Stilton and Port tasting all day, or until the port runs out.

The Viadukt is actually Switzerlands first purpose built indoor food market, I posted some preview photos here. There is a great looking bar with very friendly staff (at least the ones I have met so far are) and I guess they could be kept very busy with the EF crowd alone.

Please say hello, maybe someone would like to arrange a bar meet time?
