Avalanche course in English

I am trying to organize an avalanche course for ski touring. I currently am in discussing with a few outfits, but know I will need a few more people to help fill a course before it can move forward. The intention would be to have the course from Zurich in the beginning of February (weekend feb 5 & 6). When I have more details I will post it, but currently i am just trying to assess interest levels.

Regards,
Jeff

I organised one with 25 people in English a few weeks back. I run this website and we organised the course through that. Contact me for more details.

Sign up was through this facebook page.

The time you are looking for is quite late in the season for an Avy course. Most of them are earlier so that people get the practice in for the busiest time of the season.

Re: English avalanche cours

As this cannot really be called an Intro, I'm moving it to Activities/Sports for the time being.
If you are hoping to get some interest from EFers, it might be a good idea to write a proper Introduction and add a little info to your profile. Also, if this is some sort of 'commercial venture' of your own, you'll need to post a few times on here before you can advertise it. I suggest you read the Forum Market Place Rules before going much further on here.

As Eire says, it's a bit late in the season to start, but you might get folk who missed the other courses, or, having realised how an avalanche might one day affect them, want to improve their knowledge for future years.

Re: Avalanche course in English

Hi there, I know that this thread is quite old. However, as the snow season is almost here, I wondered if anyone can tell me where I can organize for myself and my partner to undergo some Avalanche training ASAP (here in Zurich or the surrounding areas). Many thanks, Andrea
