Any good bike shop in Konstanz?

Probably this is not the right place to put this post but I hope to get more replies here from the bikers around.

I am looking to buy a carbon road bike OR a decent wheelset.
It will be great if somebody can provide pointers to good bike shops in Konstanz.

Many thanks
Pankaj

I think Jester specializes in mountain bikes...

Otherwise the only shop I can think of with a decent road bike focus is Radial.

Re: Any good bike shop in Konstanz?

Hi Bikers,

Just north of Konstanz, 5 km from center past OBI, there is a large 'lager' bike store ... also deals with Swiss customers, ie mwst refund.

We were there looking for a good mid range mountain bike, there was no hassle with looking and trying quite a large selection. Shop assistants very helpful.

Also large selection of road bikes, and an online shop if you want to browse.

Re: Any good bike shop in Konstanz?

Thanks- over the wknd i've narrowed down my search to a BMC Time Machine - trying to find a good price for an Ultegra or 105 version - ironically even if it's a swiss bike it may be cheaper to buy it in Germany!

Re: Any good bike shop in Konstanz?

Evans Cycles have them in the UK and will deliver. Limited sizes though.

I have bought 2 bikes online and been very pleased with them - after paying all the taxes the cost is typically 2/3rds of the price here. They come well packed with clear instructions to put together which take around 20-30 mins. Both times the gears, brakes and everything ran perfectly (this was from Wiggle).

Hope that helps,

Broon.

Re: Any good bike shop in Konstanz?

Have you looked online? Rose bikes are hard to beat for value - and they will ship direct to you, sort out all the paperwork for customs and deduct the German VAT and add the Swiss tax. Some models are sold out this time of year now, but some good bargains if you're on the smaller or larger sizes. Also, Canyon bikes (not the Swiss one!) although their bikes are less custom-made than Rose

Rose are great but the turnaround time is insane. Took me 2 months to get my bike, then I got a fork recall letter where it said fork will only be available after another 2 months.

If you have something to ride in the meantime, I'd highly recommend Rose. Nice folks, just slow going
