Anyone for a last minute casual road ride? Approx 1.5hrs in Zurich area. Not a speed demon here

what is a 'casual road ride'? bike/car?
what is a 'speed demon'? going up to german autobahn? (1 hour up and 1 hour down on A81)

or are you on 'L' license, and looking for ride-alongs?

Well, it's in the sports/fitness forum so I thought it was kinda obvious.

Was just putting it out there in case anyone was mildly interested in going for a ride tonight. As there were no takers, it's a moot point.

I'm totally blown from commuting from Unterageri -> Zurich yesterday on the mtb. 62km, 3.5hrs, 800m of climbing up some brutal climbs (Sihlbrugg - Neuheim up the wanderweg being the worst). Count me out.

Do you go up the hill opposite the Migroline petroleum station? That feels like (in a car) a sheer wall...

Would love to bike it to work (Morgarten -> Adliswil)..

I'm not sure...my worst hill is just over the roundabout, between the house and the Opel garage at the end of Sihlbrugg. It's pretty tough!

Mortgarten -> Adliswil is doable, but tough, purely due to the distance. It would be tarmac from there to Neuheim, and then offroad/hardpacked gravel from there (with occasional tarmac bits). The hardest section is around Sihlbrugg (the rest is pretty flat), and I'm trying to find more offroad bits between Unterageri and Neuheim..without much luck.

You're welcome to join me one day, and I'll show you the route? There's also the road route, but that should be pretty obvious.

A correction is required here...took the route again this morning, and it's actually a *diner* and an *Alpha Romeo* garage. Apologies.

Beasting it today...outbound leg (31km, mostly offroad) was done in 1hr 20mins, which is a new PB. Lets hope there's enough left in the tank for the homeward trip...
