Hello,

I live in Mulhouse, France and I'm looking for a climbing partner. I climb indoors at K7/Basel or Impulsiv/Weil am Rhein or outdoors anywhere in the area.
I started climbing this year, and I can climb up to 5c/6a indoors and 5b/5c outdoors.
I have all the equipment (harness, rope, quickdraws, ...)

I am moving to Lörrach in october and I would love to start climbing.
Only did it once, so I don't know if our levels of expertise are compatible?

I haven't been climbing for a long time, so I guess it's not a problem. We can go indoors where it doesn't really matter as we can go from one route to another easily.
Let me know when you touch base in the area and we can meet.

There is a quite active climbing (Klettern) group in the SAC-Basel. They have regular Tuesday afternoon-evening climbing meetings outdoor (or in, when the weader is bad) and very interesting climbing weekend trips in Alps.

I boulder in Pratteln at least once a week... if you don't have a roping partner, bouldering is always an easy option. Routes for all levels are there.

Always the same group of guys who climb there so it's pretty friendly.

Hi Quinn, What days do you go bouldering in Pratteln? Is it at bzwei? I used to boulder a lot in the UK and would like to get back into it. It would be great to meet up with other climbers there.

Ooops, yes, I go to B2. The bouldering gym is awesome. I have been to Weil am Rhein once but wasn't too impressed. I boulder during the week and try to rope on the weekends.

As I might live in Lörrach or Weil Am Rhein, surely Basel is the closest I can think of to join in.

I've been there. People tend to like their roping area but I didn't find it too impressive. Bouldering area sucks.

I got to www.bzwei.ch for bouldering weekly. I don't rope so much.

There is also K7... look it up. Both roping and bouldering there and it's located 10min by tram from the train station.

I now go to K7 in Basel, but I used to go to Impulsiv in Weil. K7 is a bit more expensive and the feel is different which I like better. I'd say that the routes in the back room in Weil (lead only) are higher than the ones you'll find in Basel.

But the number of routes are probably the same. In Weil you also get free access to the sauna when you climb.

Guess, you need to try either and figure which one you like the most.
