Engelberg is open. I know someone who side there Friday and had a good time. Only the very top is open though.

Saas-Fee and Zermatt/Matterhorn are partly open. Good conditions.

Thanks PT Just a bit far for one days boarding.

Think I might just wait till the conditions get better. Just so bloody bored this weekend...

Hi Chrisso,

I'm also bored and I wouldn't mind going to Engelberg tomorrow for a day's boarding as the SBB already offers Snow'n'Rail tickets for that station.

If anybody fancies going (or is definitely going) tomorrow let me know!

As is normal at this time of year. Snow conditions not bad today, although quite poor visibility. Not ideal teaching conditions, but better than demonstrating in the flat last night

Snowing heavily at village level since mid-afternoon, so should be some nice powder up top tomorrow; I'm just hoping the weather lifts enough to see it by.

Yeah, I opted not to go today because the forecast looks like poor visibility; not the most enjoyable way to start my season.

Not just poor vis, which does indeed look even worse than yesterday, but quite windy and still snowing heavily. Decision on piste opening to be made at 10;00.

Yes, it's quite thick here. Bulldozers out clearing the roads and stuff. Drifting up in places as it's quite windy at times too.

Forecast shows a warming and rain later in the week at village level, but staying well below freezing higher up, so with a little luck this snow might form a decent base for some of the lower runs to open in November.

Re: Any slopes open ?

Diavolezza is open since last weekend.

However it seems temporarily closed today, probably due to high winds and/or heavy snowfall.
