Weekend ski course?

I have decided that I want to do an 'advanced' or carving course to improve my skills, and get rid of some bad habits.

Most skischools only have group courses on weekdays, does anybody know a school that offers weekend-courses for skiers? For example 3 Sundays in a row, or just one Sat+Sun?

It sounds to me like you really want (or need) private lessons. Expensive but worth it.

Yeah, I considered private lessons but the prices are a bit too steep here in CH, unless I find someone I could share the costs with... if anyone is interested, please let me know!

I want to try a short group course first, and if it doesn't work out I can always take private lessons later on.

need to up my game as well. Would be up for splitting the cost of a few lessons with you & maybe a few others. Am sort of mid intermediate, but like you, need to lose some bad habits & refresh technique.

Re: Weekend ski course?

As France is not far, we simply book on the day with ESF.
Found an awesome instructor who really moved our skills forward.
There are two of us to it works out at about 10 quid an hour.

Re: Weekend ski course?

I asked about doing this at Klosters but they don't do it - I had to get a private lesson which while OK isn't as much fun as the groups - I'm not that good and like the fun of watching everyone falling over...

Re: Weekend ski course?

If you don't mind traveling checkout http://www.inspiredtoski.com/
or http://www.skivolution.co.uk/ both excellent. They tend to attract pretty good skiers.

or an unknown to me local set up that seems to fit the bill; http://www.davosdreams.com/index.php?page=home

Re: Weekend ski course?

We (5 of us) going to Zermatt from March 1 - March 8 (CHF 460)

There is one place available - if someone wants to join us.

I will take there ski lessons - and finaly learn how to ski.
