Street-boarding in Switzerland

Hi all,

Iím looking for information regarding street-boarding inSwitzerland.

By street-boarding I mean

- Urban skate-boarding

- Downhill long-boarding and freebording on paved roads (country-side)

Are there any restrictions to where one can ride? Do the same rules of bicycle-riding apply tostreet-boarding?

What if someone is using an electric-skateboard/longboard?

I have been freebording for the past two years and I find itvery exciting. In the beginning I wasfreebording on very Ďquietí streets with no much traffic, but the morecomfortable I become with freebording in the city, the more frequent I find myselfarguing with selfish car drivers. Whatis the law on this, anyone knows?
Many thanks

Re: Street-boarding in Switzerland

I am also interested in the legality of electric skateboards / longboards in Switzerland.

Anyone know? Is there a speed limit (like bikes which I think are 25 km/h, over that and you need a moped licence).

Re: Street-boarding in Switzerland

ANY skateboard is according to Swiss law a "toy" and therefore not allowed on the street in traffic, but only in low traffic side streets and bicycle tracks.
Definitely nowhere it would make reasonable fun to go downhill.

Anything powered is pretty much illegal.
