Private swimming lessons in Zurich?

Hi all,

I've already searched the forums as best I could, and it appears that i-b-deborah and Susan47 are no longer able to provide private lessons, so I was wondering if there is anyone else who would be willing to give private lessons to a somewhat beginner swimmer? I know some basic strokes but feel very uncomfortable in the water still, and intimidated by the lanes. Preferably on weekends but I'm quite flexible with times, and preferably not too expensive, for a PhD student (the asvz swim course options don't work for me, they're either too beginner or too advanced)!

Thanks in advance!

I was also led to believe you were not available.

I don't know where the rumour started that I am not giving lessons anymore, but I would like to clear that up, and declare that I am still very much open for business!

Hi!

Maybe I'm also interested in some classes! I'm about to start my triathlon training swimming and I would be great to have some technical trainings.

That's definitely weird.
I only recommended you the other day.

When I saw the OP's response I did have both my eyebrows raised.

I'm suspecting some 'swimming' industrial espionage maybe involved

Re: Private swimming lessons in Zurich?

It was just a misunderstanding! Apparently my inbox was full, so no one could reach me and thought I'd buggered off or something.

Thanks for recommending me petal!

And next time my message box is full, could someone please message me about it. Wait...............

Hi I-b-Deborah,

How much do you charge for swimming lessons for a beginner? I am really interested to learn. Also where do you teach?

Thanks,

Aisha

Unfortunately the website for adults http://www.watercritters.ch/?page_id=6 is not working - there are no schedules... Hope that will help to fix it

Watercritters website is under renovation, but all of the adult classes can be found on the Waterbabies website, or PM me if you have any questions.

Re: Private swimming lessons in Zurich?

I just took 2 private classes -30 mins for 40 chf and all of the teachers I called asked for the same price. So you are asking chf 10 more . I don't want to go anymore because I would like to be in a group for a social life so I am searching for more beginners to start a course.

Though, I found a beginner's course, 10 lessons for 180 chf but need more people. So if someone is interested to go next Wednesday for a course , it will take place at Hallenbad Altstetten.

Re: Private swimming lessons in Zurich?

Hello

I know this is an old thread but hoping people can still give me some advice.

I am looking for swimming lessons for beginning crawl/triathlon swim training. The group classes all seem to be starting at the end of March while I am looking for something in the beginning of March. I followed this thread and looked at the water babies website but could not find the list for available adult courses.

Any advice? Or I would love to have private lessons but I do not want to pay more than 30 CHF for half a hour.

Thanks!
