Re: Gyms in Zug

The best Gym has to be the great outdoors .. This time of year its a crime to pay money to go into a room to pump the Iron (IMHO). If you have a taste for machines there are a number down by the lake for free.

If its really and indoor one you are looking for the sites (Forum) search function will show you that there have been a number of discussions on the topic.

Re: Gyms in Zug

Even when I agree re best gym being outside the four walls, Migros gym is prob the biggest and have good selection of classes. I would wait for offers though as they have some on regular basis. Prepare for full classes and busy gym though, especially if you aim to train during lunch time or just past when people leave work in the evening.

There are others too but not as central and not as wide selection of classes...

But in the summer do stick to outdoors, so much better.

Migros gym in the centre of town is the biggest. One training in baar is popular though too. It is much smaller but has a good selection of classes and doesn't get as busy.

New gym in Steinhausen at the towers, BodyWorks I think. Nice inside, not crowded, train stops there (Rigiblick).

+1 for Migros Fitness Park. Just avoid the place from 5-7:30pm as it gets really busy.

Fitness Park in the city center is very nice and conveniently located. But it is extremely busy. The classes are packed. But there is a nice sauna, small swimming pool and Jacuzzi which are also pretty busy. The ladies at the reception are always busy and you have to wait 15 minutes to ask a question and some of them are not even nice or feel like speaking English. So I ended my membership there and started to go to Bodyworx at 4-towers next to Rigiblick train station. It doesn’t have a swimming pool but classes are smaller and there is always a spot. There are also plenty of equipment to work with. And it is close to my office and parking isnt a big problem as at the Fitness Park.

I forgot to mention that you can sign-up some of classes in Fitness Park through Migros Klub Schule. So you can only attend those fitmess or yoga classes while you are in the building.

Re: Gyms in Zug

Hey all! I am also searching for any gym in Zug or Cham and was looking in your suggestions, but the question is - in those mentioned gyms are there any english classes or only german? If only german, maybe somebody could recommend any gym there it would be possible to attend english classes?
I would be very grateful to hear any answer!

Is it busy during the day or only in the 7-9 / 17-19 "rush hour" peaks?
