Cycling around Zurich

Hi there!

I love cycling (road bike) and I'd be happy to find same mates to go with.
I usually do rides which are 50-65km long in the area Zurich-Meilen-Egg. Does anyone go there as well and would like to join sometimes?

My target is to be able to do a 110km route in the Klontaler See area by the end of this summer, I know it will be very very challenging, at least for me (and it would be nice it with somebody else)!

Please pm me if you are interested

Cheers!

Luca

Re: Cycling around Zurich

Hiya, i've just moved here and i brought my road bike as a way to explore. I found Egg the other day and had to stop for a photo. Here's a link to the route i did... https://www.strava.com/activities/342259536

I may be interested in meeting others to cycle. I was hoping to meet some others on this forum that enjoyed cycling too!

Re: Cycling around Zurich

Hi guys,

I would also be interested in joining. Are you up for cycling mostly on the flat or also on some uphills/downhills?

Re: Cycling around Zurich

You can't cycle here without going up at least one hill!
To be clear, this is road cycling by the way

Re: Cycling around Zurich

I prefer uphill and downhill, I get bored of the flat after a while! And also there is less traffic than on the lake and the views sometimes are amazing.
Cheers!

Re: Cycling around Zurich

Sounds good. I was in this area only with my mountain bike in the forest, and as said, around the lake it gets very crowded, and flat I should train some hills too so I would be happy to join you sometimes.

Hello, I'm also in Winterthur and love cycling, I did a couple of good rides over the weekend.
I have a Mountain Bike but I'd give you a run for your money any day on a roadie

Great tracks around here, I can show you some that won't puncture those thin tyres....

Up and down the Uetliberg is good - on the MTB trail...

Hello everybody. I'm new to Zurich and live in Horgen so just across the way from Meilen mentioned in one of the posts. I'd love to get out and about with others on the road bike on some of the great rides available in the locality. Please do let me know if you are interested. Peter
