Football / Basketball procedure to become a referee

Hello there,

Does anyone knows the procedure to become a Football or Basketball referee in Switzerland? If yes, could you please share the procedure with me?

Thank you

Re: Football / Basketball procedure to become a referee

Usually I don't spend too much time looking up things for folk with no info in their Profile as there no clue as to what level of knowledge or interest they have. Of course, I suppose I could check your other posts to find out...
Do you speak Italian?
Have you experience at the job in another country?
Is this a serious plan or just a vague idea?
Have you connections with the sport in Switzerland?

Two links Fussball Referee Site
Basketball Referee Site

Now the ball, quite literally, is in your court.

Good luck.

Lets start by saying "thank you" to your reply.

I do not speak Italian and yes it is a serious plan! By why do I have to give you all that info? What is it going to change? What I do not understand is why you bother to reply to me when your reply is crappy anw!

Re: Football / Basketball procedure to become a referee

You don't have to give me any information at all.
Let's say I replied because I've been involved in sport in Switzerland for a long time and I know that, at least in swimming, good coaches with experience and good referees are not easy to come by. I don't expect the situation in football and basketball is much better. A lot of work for very little money and a requirement for constant refresher courses is too much for many folk.

By answering your post I brought it to the top of the page again and with luck someone who knows more about football and basketball organisations than I do will see your question and reply.
OK?

PS - if you think my first reply crappy I'm sorry, it wasn't meant to be. Maybe getting a bit 'short' my old age.
