Stupid urgent question - Andermatt

On the train to Andermatt for the day, just found out there are no lockers at the trainstation to leave my shoes while skiing.

Anyone knows a place there where I can dump a pair of shoes and find them at the end of the day? Website of Ski Arena is poor when it comes to practicalities.

I hate travelling with my ski boots, have a hill to walk up on the way back home. Besides, am already on the road.

Thanks!

Ask the SBB. Train stations usually have lockers...

Re: Stupid urgent question - Andermatt

I put them in my rucksack and take them with me. Then I dump them for a day at the Talstation to Gemstock. Many folks leave their bags there as well.

I have never skied at Andermatt, but I usually just chuck my shoes under a bench at the lift-station, they've never gone missing. Most bottom lift stations also have lockers where you can leave shoes, skis etc. I'm sure you'll find something when you get there.

That's the thing, in Andermatt they don't. 😒

Since I'm heading for Gemstock, will probably just dump them there, my backpack is too small to keep them with me.

Sometimes the train stations will have a depot if they don't have lockers. You have to ask and then they'll take your stuff into a back room.

The station in Andermatt will store Handluggage only for 5 sfr a piece (for 24 hrs).
