Roller Skiing

Anyone know of anywhere good for Roller Skiing (anywhere in Switzerland but preferably central) with a nice smooth long track/loop? Also anywhere that hires out roller skis? Thanks

Re: Roller Skiing

Dunno, but research seems to show two types of skis, tracks and wheels,

Yeah... Roller Skiing for langlauf training, not grass skiing. Want to keep training in summer!

Re: Roller Skiing

I( live in an area where both on French and Swiss side is very keen on xcountry skiiing, and they practise year round, on rollerskis in Summer- but all own their own skis. Are you a skater or classic?

Skater!

Yeah I figured I'll have to buy my own probably. Just wondering really a good place to do it. Also looks like they have snow tracks up on Glacier 3000 in summer... could be an option.

Re: Roller Skiing

Take a look at this map for ideas: SkatingLand Schweiz

The route between Beckenried and Luzern is good. Also, if you tick the "veloland" box on the map, the route between Luzern and Wolhusen is good for roller skiing.

edit: if you are in Wallis, it looks like there is a route along the Rhone from Sierre down to Vevey. No idea if it's a dedicated path though.
