Hi all,

I just got here and after buying some outrageously priced running shoes (relative their American cousins) I am going to get back into running. I like to take longer runs (anywhere from 4-7 miles) on Saturdays or Sundays, and they get pretty boring so I was wondering if anyone out there would be interested in running with me.

Also, I have been a rower for years and I would love to check out the Rowing Club Bern. Does anyone row there or know anything about it? Otherwise, I'll just show up and beg to join the club!

Hi,
I'm Sara and I just moved to live and work in Bern. I'm a runner and I use to run during the week along the river and to some long run during the week end. I'll run the Murtenlauf next week end (5 Oct.) it's a very famous race here in Switzerland, it's a little bit more than 10 miles (17,7 KM)..I think you can still register.
Anyway if you want to run with me sometime I'd be happy...I use to run alone...

This sunday isn't too good for me. Maybe we could run on saturday in the morning or evening? After this weekend, my sundays will be free for running.

It's ok on saturday, better for me in late afternoon (something like 5:00/6:00 p.m.?). If it's ok for you, just tell me where you usually run. I run along the river (like many other runners!!), so we can find a place to meet suitable for both of us.

Where exactly along the Aare do you run, because I normally run in Köniz.

That's perfect for me. I normally run along Aarestrasse, Dalmaziiquai and Tierparkweg. I go down to the river from the Barengraben.
I have seen the Korniz is not far from where I live in Bern (Kirchenfeld) and we can find a place in between, check this link and tell me what's the best place for you :
