Basketball in Zurich

Hi everyone,

I haven't played basketball in years and wish to pick it up again. Does anyone know of any basketball courts in zurich? Either nice indoor court or concrete ground with a hoop would be fine.

Before I moved to Switzerland I was living in Australia for a few years and was able to use the outdoor courts at some schools during the weekend, or throw the ball in those half-a-court found in small public parks. Is there anything similar which I might be able to find here?

Thanks and cheers!

Re: Basketball in Zurich

Hey, we've got some outdoor courts down here in the Lake Geneva region I'm sure there are some in Zurich as well. Let me know if you want to play on a Saturday, I'd come by to ball it!

Re: Basketball in Zurich

many schools have courts outside that you can use. I've certainly used them and if you don't damage stuff, it seems nobody minds.

Re: Basketball in Zurich

There's a court affiliated to a school at the station Bäckeranlage (Tram8 stop, where Bus31 could also reach).

Almost every Sunday at 5pm, some people will come together to play basketball?

Someone want to join? You don't need to be great, because I don't want to see you fly but will not let you fly as well...

Re: Basketball in Zurich

There is a public court right behind my apartment, its always free, i was up there today for almost an hour by myself.......I should have read this post earlier in the day.

Well if anyone wants to play send me a PM. The court is outdoor in Glattpark-Opfikon easy to get to by the 11 tram. Get off at the Fernsehstudio stop and walk along the stream of water (something promenade) you will soon see the basket ball court.

I have a basket ball.
