Pick Up Football (Soccer) in Luzern

I must be socially inept, but I haven't had much luck finding pickup football in Luzern. I have seen two posts on this forum from last year as well. I would like to find other players of average to above average skill, willing to commit to a weeknight (monday, tuesday, thursday would be ideal) to play some pickup 5v5. I think we could play by the museggmauer or by the Kantonspolizei, other fields are possible as well (like the Almend). I'm willing to organize this. Please let me know if you are interested.

Re: Pick Up Football (Soccer) in Luzern

Would all depend upon what time you are planning on playing. Working in Zurich I can't be back before 7 in the evenings, so starting about 7.30 would be ideal for my.

From what I've heard with other people trying to organise these things, it's not as easy you'd think. Even at the fields by the Almend you should register with the sports amt, who will tell you when you can play or not. And as the rugby club [1] have found on may occasions, a little rain means you are not allowed on the grass!

Good luck organising.

Im injured a bit now, but I will try to organize some short side games in a local park (sch*****), there are no parks, Ok maybe one or two. There is fantastic bit of grass at the Uefschutti. Maybe there on a saturday afternoon. What do you think?

me too.. the school ground down near Ufschutti is free to use after 6pm. The kids get right of way, but the pitches are generally free. I can probably rustle up 3 or 4 regulars if I get enough names... say every Tuesday at 7:30pm?

Re: Pick Up Football (Soccer) in Luzern

My Son is arriving here on Dec 11th from uk as he starts his christmas holiday from uni. He plays at a very good standard and has been coaching football in Texas during the summer.
When he visited here in the summer, he asked the team at Kussnacht-am-rigi if they would mind him training with them, he went along and they gave him a couple of games that week and said he could play with them when he visited in the future, however, they stop at this time of year so he would welcome a good kickabout.
PM me if it is possible please.

your son would be very welcome but I am afraid we are far from having the weekly game up and running...let's try...
..Hi everybody any chance we can start with a first match on Tuesday 14th ? We've got myself, porterboy76, his (i hope) 4 friends, corrieorrie's son. We would need other two players
Place and time suggested by porterboy76 (see above) ?
Thanks

Re: Pick Up Football (Soccer) in Luzern

Hey guys,

I'd definitely be interested if you got a weekly match going on Tuesdays (preferably 7 or later), and know one or two others who might be. But I'm going back to the UK for work on Thursday and will be there then until the New Year. If you get something up and running, could you let us know? If there's not enough interest, can always try again in the new year.

Cheers.

p.s. I think I know where's meant - the Wartegg, right, further round past the Ufschotti towards Tribschen?
