Re: Geocaching in Switzerland

I'd be up for a caching Event too if anyone is still interested. I don't know any other catchers yet. Be great to meet some. (One of the Swiss sites seems pretty serious and I'm not so experienced)

Sure - let's do some research and see if we can find smthg in the middle maybe we can post a try-out geocaching event and see who else we can tempt in.
Coinciding with the revival of this thread, we have just started geocaching - in fact, we found our first not long after we saw you at Knabenschiessen, circe.

If you're thinking about heading further afield, let me know. We're staying local for now so the kids can do the legwork (found 2/3, and the unfound one is in a very busy spot so we know where it is but we need to go back in the dark), but I'd like to go somewhere more adventurous.

Re: Geocaching in Switzerland

Hey all - sorry for my dissappearance on this thread. Life got way toobusy gor awhile, but its better now. I was thinking a geocache outing in a place like Winterthur might be ideal. It's not too far from Züri but shouldn't be too congested on a Sunday.

Let me look for a few candidate caches, or a park that has several in it and then I'll schedule an event.

Happy caching y'all!

Re: Geocaching in Switzerland

I have always wanted to try this but haven't ever gotten around to it. I would be up for some "easier" ones in the basel area.

Re: Geocaching in Switzerland

We've used the official geocaching.com site and App to do geocaching in Winterthur area and it works! Sometimes you have to be a bit creative to find them - but you will.

Re: Geocaching in Switzerland

It's been a while since the last post here, but I'll try reviving it again . I was introduced to geocaching by a friend of a friend, and it sounds like an amazing and fun activity. I'd love to try it, but don't like the idea of geocaching alone, especially for the first time. Any geocachers in Zurich who would like to join me?
