and just as FYI... my office mate here ( shared office ) had just finished his usual morning ritual of stretching and yoga-breathing ( one nostril breath in..etc...)

why he doesn't do this at home I don't know but I've become used to it.

Holiness ?

For the cool thing is you just take what need when you do yoga... Some do it to look good and some take the whole package (asanas, meditation etc... - e.g. the so called 8 limbs). I am still burning my past karmas doing the Asanas...

I do love yoga, just can't deal with the whole holiness thing, I think if more men participated, the atmosphere in a yoga class would be more inviting for me. Not as sandallwood insense stuff, woodoo chakras stuff, some strange drops stuff...just sheer substance of it, which I find one of the best thing in the world, for fitness, self control, outlook on life. I think the combo of intense cardio, yoga and strength training is the best for me, I think yoga is great for stress which many men carry and don't sort.
These days you can find a class for just about any style of yoga you'd like to do... vegan ultra hippie yoga, meditative spiritual ommm-y yoga, sweat it out super fitness yoga, and yes, old fart yoga as well.

You just have to look around for a class that fits your needs and comfort level. A lot of the ones here (granted I'm at a university) have the most focus on form and stability. There's not even a Namaste at the end. Plus its a great way to practice the native tongue (I'm referring here to Swiss German and not a particularly distracting pose).

My post vegan karma is shrinking, with the amount of meat I get in me..

I like the sweat it out yoga, and thanks, seeingbee for the uni reference, it's not so far from here, true, should have a look. I can live without the Namaste, can always think it for myself, rite?
