Our co-ed slow-pitch softball team, based in Embrach (north of Zurich airport), is looking for new players for the upcoming season. We practice Wednesday evenings in Embrach during the spring/summer, when weather permits, of course. It's not necessary to own a bat, but it's best if you have your own glove (though the team has a few spares in the equipment bag).

The team is made up of a great mix of Swiss, Germans, Americans, Canadians and maybe a few other nationalities I'm forgetting at the moment. However, given the large % of expats on our team, we're always looking for new players as teammates move on. Whether you're an experienced player or a novice, you're welcome to come out and give it a try.

As for games and tournaments, we're primarily a traveling team, though we expect to host a few 1-day double-headers or 3-team tournaments this year. Last year, we played tournaments in Geneva, Prague, and Germany (Stuttgart, Mannheim, and Frankfurt areas) as well as 1-day trips to play teams near St. Gallen and Basel.

This post may seem a bit early given that the good weather is still a few months away, but there's a good reason...we get together for drinks once a month in the off-season (next date: 9 February) and we have an indoor practice/training session scheduled for mid-March...great chances to meet some of the team and get more info.

any chance this league still exists? I've been craving some slow-pitch for some time now and wouldn't mind going to Embrach to get some.. when does the season start?
