So, another weekend, another victory for Hard!
This weekend, we beat the second placed team in the league 3-2, and have increased our gap at the top of the table to 2pts.
The final game of this half of the season is next weekend, if we can avoid defeat, we will be top of the table going into the winter break for the first time since we started the FC Hard project, quite an achievement!
As always, we're looking for people to join our squad, so if you are interested, our winter indoor training starts this week, please drop me a PM to get details.
Cheers,
StirB

Hi all,
I'm still relatively new in Zürich, moved here in August, and after being released on a free by my team at uni I was hoping to join another 11 a side team over here, as i feel at 24 my footballing career is far from over.
I understand its mid-season but if there's any chance I can come down and try out for the squad i'd be delighted. Is it a sunday league or saturday? Either one is do-able for me. Sats would even save me from the weekly disappointment of listening to sheffield wednesday on the radio.
If a january transfer window snap-up isn't possible or there's already a full squad I wouldn't mind coming down for a bit of training. I can play almost anywhere except for centre-half.
Let us know either way
Chris

Hi Jordan,
I'm actually the team's GK, but I certainly don't mind a bit of competition - I also secretly like playing outfield, so if you're good, you'd be a great addition!
Chris, we're looking for players in any position, so also feel free to come along. Training is Tuesday nights indoor at the moment (is a wee bit chilly outdoors!), at Utogrund, which is next to Tram stop (3) : Siemens. It is 7pm, please let me know if you'd like to come along and I can come and meet you or arrange for someone else to if I am not there.
Drop me a PM if you fancy it.

Hey,
First time post on this. I'm in a similar position to Chris who posted above. Just recently moved to Zürich late last year, been desperately missing getting a kick about and some games. Played regularly for county and local youth teams, but it'd be great if i could even just come and train. Moved across from Scotland so could maybe summon up the skills of a young ally mcoist, or more likely billy dodds. Let me know if it would be ok if I came along.
Cheers
Marshall

Hi Marshall,
Of course, everyone is welcome to come along to training to see how you like it. I think the skills of either a young McCoist or even a Billy Dodds would do just fine for us! Please always keep your level of performance above Neil McCann levels at all times however, or you may get dropped.

Thats great. I can only promise I will maintain a standard well above that of Filip Sebo. You have my word on that.

Ok, for simplicity, rather than sending 100 PMs, here is where you will find where we train, Utogrund - on Dennlerstrasse in 8047 Zurich.
If you'd like to come along, it is Tuesday nights, from 7pm til 8.30pm. I can meet you the first time you come along (or arrange for a teammate to show you where to go).
Hope to see you all there soon.
Cheers,
StirB

Time for a bit of an update!
As I probably mentioned before, we went into the Winter break top of the table, albeit only on goal difference / fair play points.
We started back up 2 weeks ago and frustratingly drew 2-2 with the 3rd placed team, Srbija, but last week we picked up an excellent 4-1 win against FC Mesopotamia, and so are back top of the table again, by a point, with 2nd place having a game in hand.
Things at the moment, are still in our own hands, and this weekend we face off against the 4th placed team, Schlieren, a win there would go a long way to helping us secure top spot.
After that, we have a run of games all against the bottom half of the table, before what could prove to be a deciding game against Affoltern at the end of the season.
Here's how things stand:
So, as always, support in vocal or playing terms is more than welcome, hope to see you soon!

FC Srbija, Mesopotamia, Stade Marocain... It almost looks like you're playing in an international league.

I suppose that sort of justifies the Champions League walk before every game!

thanks | | | | | Hi there Dack,
Next game is at Saalsporthalle / Brunau - just about 400m from SihlCity going away from town (I linked the location in a picture earlier in the thread) at 10AM on Sunday. www.fchard.com is our website, but doesn't have all of the fixtures up yet - it is still under construction.
This site has our fixtures on it... http://www.football.ch/fvrz/de/verein.aspx?v=1607
If there was interest, i'd do a forum event, but I'm not sure there would be too much!

So, another Sunday goes by, and I know you've all been on tenterhooks to find out how the mighty FC Hard are getting along.
Well, technically we won a tense game 3-0. Even more technically, the oppo didn't turn up, so we were awarded a 3-0 victory without kicking a ball!
Here's how things look now:
Next week we play the bottom team, Hakoah, then the week after, the 6th team, Ergenekon and the week after that, Stade Marocain whilst all the teams around us have to play each other, so hopefully somebody can nick some points off Affoltern, who we have to play as the 2nd last game of the season.
Exciting times indeed!
