ive asked this question myself a couple of times, but didnt get much of an answer.

if you look hard enough, i think there are one or two teams fielded by banks like credit suisse, but i wrote to one and did not receive a reply. i cannot seem to find any details though.

in any case, if you find out something yourself, do let me know!

I know there is a team in Zurich known as the Grasshoppers
and also a couple of other teams, as I play Field Hockey for Lugano... We are the only team in the area of Ticino, so we often travel north 3-4hrs to play these teams on sundays. One of our ex-players now plays for Zurich, I will try get in touch with him and obtain more information for you

But i emailed www.swisshockey.org to find out local teams... think i emailed the chirman or something.....
Next on the agenda is to find a shop as i need to buy astroturf trainers... any ideas?

i've just seen the question about astro turf trainiers... if you will start playing for Basel, you can order them via our "club-seller" from the womens team, just ask for Julia. She sells hockey stuff from http://www.fastplay.ch/, and can bring the things to training...
if you want to try them on in a shop, i would try Shops like Athleticum or Manor, Ochsner Sport...

No, the season isn't over yet... we still have games to play (end of the season is by mid june).
