| Fishing- from India to Switzerland Namaste and Petri Heil to anglers here.
I'm a fishing nut from India now settled in Nyon. When in India, I guide and run expeditions to freshwater and saltwater locations. I generally fish for mahseer, goonch, giant trevally and barramundi but thoroughly enjoy flyfishing for trout (yes, we have them in India- the Loch Leven browns and Norwegian rainbows).
I'm free most weekdays and need a buddy to harass local fish. Any fishing will do, the bigger the fish, the happier we are.
According to my research, I understand one needs a license (the SaNa card) but is possible to fish on a day permit. The season's closed for trout and salmonids, but for Nyon the day ticket for the lake is 10CHF and for rivers it's 15CHF.
The fishing is catch and kill, but I don't know how I'm going to do that- my hands are so slippery, all fish escape the moment I unhook them .
If anyone's heading out for a session, or if anyone would like to spend a day around Nyon, please let me know. The season is open for pike and non-salmonids.
Cheers and best,
