I enjoy outdoor climbing. I'm in Burgdorf (a bit over an hour away).
I brought my harness, shoes, etc from Canada and I sport climb (as well as boulder). I do not have quickdraws or a rope yet.
If you visit this store (just in case you haven't heard of it):

They sell great outdoor climbing guides for Switzerland. I hope to pick one up and get outside.
Right now, in this area, we're getting day time highs of +4... if I had my gear I'd attempt to do some outdoor climbing.
Let me know if you are interested or in the area. I'll be in Basel on Thursday (daytime).

| Hi,
I'm looking for a like minded climbing partner for indoor/outdoor climbing and also some easy mountaineering. I'm 26 and from Newcastle England and have been living in Basel for 3 years now so really need to start making the most of living so close to the Alps and the many crags surrounding Basel . I have been climbing on and off for 5 years and can climb up to French grade 6c+ indoor. I recently completed a introduction to mountaineering course in Grindelwald then went on to climb the mönch with a guide but sadly the guide took the right decision to turn back at the start of the summit ridge as the ridge was not in the best condition for my level. I have all the gear needed for outdoor climbing and also have a vehicle if this helps!
I look forward to a reply!
All the best
