where is it best (cheapest^^) to rent a snowboard and shoes around Oerlikon?

I would be interested to know too, if anyone has the answer. Or is it better to wait until you arrive at the skifield to rent board + boots?

Last week I've been to Austria, 29€/d incl. full insurance for both, that is quiet ok, but here...

If you don't mind me asking, where in Austria did you go, and how did you get there? I'm new and keen to practice my snowboarding (beginner-intermediate level I think).

I went to Fredakopf.
I think its part of the Vorarlberg.
We went there by car. Its 2h away.
Skipass for one day is 40€, Parking at the Zamang Bahn is free.
One main dish is around 10€.
With train its also possible, it will take around 3h from Zürich.

the cheapest would be buying your own kit.

Visit ricardo.ch or cash converters shops like www.speedycash.ch, for second hand snowboards and Mirgos for affordable boots. Of course, you have to do tons of asking and googling before making that final purchase.
