This is my first post in English Forum, but I've been lurking these forums for about a year now since I moved to Geneva last summer.

Now that I'm settled here, I'd like to take the opportunity to go snowboarding/skiing. Unfortunately, I don't have a car so I was wondering if it was possible to get to the slopes for a day of skiing via public transportation. Are there any hills nearby Geneva that I can visit via TPG or train?

The Jura can be great, but conditions are not ideal at the moment.

Many Swiss resorts are easy to reach by train and bus, like Torgon/Chatel from Aigle rail station, Haute-Nendaz from Sion station, and Verbier by train all the way to Le Chable, then cable car up to resort and above.
