Just moved to Basel and looking to do some longer rides 50-100km if any of the previous posters are still about. Either weeknights or weekends. Also does anyone know of any time trials going on that are open or where they can be found?

I am not aware that there are many time trials in the Switzerland, there are alot cycling races (sportives) especially in France near you..but personally not aware of regular time trial events here (as would be common in the UK).

I've been living in Basel for almost a year now and am looking for people to cycle with. I use to race IM triathlon before I blew my knee snowboarding. So for the moment just concentrating on cycling. I am a fairly keen cyclist riding in all weather. Looking for people to do some short (30-50km) weekday rides (morning or evening) and some longer rides on the weekend.

Pat, a member of this parish, organizes cycle tours of a more social nature, but we've called a break for winter.

But from the sounds of it, you are looking for something altogether more challenging anyway.

I live in Kandern (just north of Basel, in Germany) & a friend of mine I work with has asked me to find him a road biking group/club that he can join. He's fast!
