can anyone recommend a nice place to go cross country skiing near zurich for beginners?

Please note that the man who rents outs skis cannot speak English. Or high German. Or French. But he knows his skis and the prices are reasonable. He'll understand you if you speak high German but be ready for answers in Swiss German.
