Tomorrow I'd quite like to buy a ski bag and a ski boots bag.

However, I don't fancy shelling out the combined 70 CHF that Ochsner Sport would have me spend.

Any suggestions? Has anyone seen any good cheap offers?

I went into that big sports shop on Freistrasse (errr .. really struggling to remember name ..) last year and asked for a ski bag. They showed me one for 60 Chf so I gulped and said "oh no, much cheaper" .. and they went out into the store room and came back with a bag that was perfect for what we needed (sending two pairs of skis by rail) for 30 Chf.

Wish I could remember the sports shop .. it would be worth you asking at least! Or you could borrow ours. Don't need it until school half term.

I thing our cost about 15CHF on special in atletikum or aldis

Funnily enough, it's Karrer's fault I need them.

I rented two pairs of skis and one pair of boots at the same time. They would only give me one bag for the skis (even though I don't always want to have to carry both together, and it has no shoulder strap) and indicated I had to pay extra for the boot bag because the boots were too big for the free one. Given that I'd already had pretty horrendous service during the visit, I just walked out.

I'd heard great things about Karrer, but I was sorely disappointed. Maybe I caught them on an off day, but I won't be going back.

Alternatively for about 100CHF you can get a huge Wedze bag complete with wheels at one end, fits two pairs of skis, one alpine snowboard, and two pairs of boots. And quite easy to wheel around as well.

Missus picked up a ski bag and boot bag in Aldi. Or was it Lidl? Aldl? Lidi?

I went to Athleticum, and they had a ski bag at 20 CHF (but the straps didn't look very sturdy) and only one expensive and small boots bag.

In the end I went to the Migros SportXX at M-Parc and got both for 50 CHF. Aldi might've been a bit cheaper had I had time to get there, but I'm happy with these.
