Hey,

'Let's go gym' in Montreux is supposed to be quite good and Montreux is only 10min from Vevey.

Re: Gym in Vevey

I would also recommend Log 3 gym.

It's near the Panorama near the Hotel de Ville.

The owner, Loïc, is a friend of mine and I know he speaks a bit of English too.
They also have a naturopathy bit to it where they do massages etc.
Otherwise normal gym - weights room, cardio vascular bit, steam room, sauna etc.

You would probably be looking at around 700.- p.a. If you pay in one go and are with the right company for health insurance, you'll get 300.- back (i.e. almost half!)

Log 3 Fitness Center 1800 Vevey. rue du Panorama 12, Vevey, VD, 1800. Téléphone 021 922 82 60

Could anyone introduce me to the Let's Go in Montreux? I will move there next week and would like to try it out

Infact just wondering but if you don't have insurance already set up can you still get a membership?

Thanks

Re: Gym in Vevey

Hi Sophie,

I could introduce to the Let's Go Vevey, you could register there and then train at any of the 7 centres, you get a discount at the Vevey branch, the guy who runs the place is Italian who speaks good english and often gives out lucrative discounts to new joiners.

You don't need an insurance to register, but you will not have an insurance cover if you happen to injure yourself at the gym.

Re: Gym in Vevey

i visit both the Vevey and Montreux Let's Go gyms. My personal preference is Vevey (a little less poserish!). I paid about 700 francs for the year (including introductory discounts).. the bonus being that by paying upfront, my health insurance company refunded me 200 francs just for being a member!

Re: Gym in Vevey

Hi,

This is a message for CosmicSpunk. I saw your kind offer to someone regarding the Let`s Go gym. I`m staying in Montreux for the next 2 1/2 weeks learning French as the ESL colleage and would like to still keep fit. Yes, I know I could go running by the lake but I actually hate running and prefer doing gym classes where they tell you what to do and you can`t escape. I was hoping you would be able to introduce me to the gym also to get a free month. I know it`s a bit cheeky of me to ask! I can take you out for a drink to say thanks.

Kim
