Meditation classes in english

Hello all,

are there any yoga/meditation fans out there who could direct me to any english speaking meditation courses in Zurich city?

I am a beginner to meditation, but would be interested more into Kudalini or Vipasana meditation style.

Any referrals/suggestions/recommendation would be very much appreciated.

cheers,

Vera

Re: Meditation classes in english

i know someone who does group/private lessons in kundalini yoga. he's very into spiritualism and mysticism as well, so if that sounds like it suits you...here's the website.

Re: Meditation classes in english

So many classes (in my experience in dance) are run by English speaking teachers here in Zürich. Have you tryed contacting AIRYOGA or PLANETYOGA? A friend of mine, Olive, teaches in both places. They may have further info for you????

Re: Meditation classes in english

This is a way old thread, but perhaps still of interest to someone out there ...

Anyway, I can highly recommend the Vipassana Center located on Mont Soleil in Switzerland for anyone seriously interested in meditation. They offer intense 10 day silent retreats on a donation basis only. I attended one this past March and was blown away by the amazingness of it! You are woken each morning by gong at 4:30 am and meditate away in bliss until 9pm each evening. There are, of course, pauses and time to eat in between but anyone who goes should be prepared for some serious meditating time.

The instructions are given in English with translations in either German or French. Each evening there is a lecture by the master and participants may choose to listen in English or in their native language. All in all a very positive experience for me.

Ahh, such an old thread. Btw, if somebody wants to try some meditation, send me a pm, would be glad to give more information privately, not on the forum...
