there are many outdoor tables scattered around parks and schoolyards.
as for proper indoor tables, im not so sure. just try the local sports centres.

My neighbour has one in their back garden. Some parks have concrete tables as well. I only like playing indoor on proper tables. Haven't played for a long time though. Excellent sport I must say.

Concrete, wind, rain and cold are no so good when you really want to play table tennis, but, for kids to have fun the concrete "tables" are fine. Yes, table tennis is excellent sport.

There are some amazing guys who play at the Tiefenbrunnen swimming area (or 'Badi); they play non-stop throughout the Summer months, really hammering away like a scene from Forest Gump, for hours on end. They're a bit odd if you ask me, but wow can they play, even on concrete tables | | This user would like to thank Uncle Max for this useful post: | |

I went to a "trial" by my Gemeindeschulhaus.
I think I may like to practise some ball hitting with someone "good".
If you find a place and table, and would like a hitting partner (lets try), then you can PM me.
I work in Zurich City.
I also play tennis (intermediate level).
And basketball.
And soccer.
And volleyball.

One usually needs to get a net, pair of rackets and balls from e.g. Migros. For instance in my area, although location is Baden not Zurich, there are two tables outside the flat. I played recently and it is great fun Enjoy...

I play table tennis in Kloten (Schluefweg stadium) on Monday evenings from 7 to 9 pm. Most are beginners though some have quite a good level. http://www.ttc-kloten.ch/jedermann.html
Short walk from Kloten train station if coming from Zurich.

let me know when/where?? | | | | | Dear Nic,
I am going again next Monday (Jan 12). If you want I can meet you at the Kloten train station if you are coming by train. If you are arriving by car, there is plenty of parking on the premises. Go to the entrance for the swimming pool. We play table tennis downstairs (2 levels down) from there. Cost 3 francs. http://www.ttc-kloten.ch/jedermann.html
If you don't speak German, I can translate the info on the site.
Regards, Brian
